With each new role, I have sought out opportunities to learn and develop my skills to help the community, both through nursing care and advocacy.&nbsp;&nbsp;I was born in Tulsa, but my family moved to Manchester, New Hampshire when I was young, there my father was a Radio DJ and my mother an accountant. Though I spent the majority of my childhood in New Hampshire, every summer break I stayed with my grandparents in Tulsa, so Oklahoma has always felt like home. When I graduated from Manchester High School West at age 15, I was excited to return to Oklahoma to attend the University of Tulsa.After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, I began working in the medical field until I found my calling in Nursing. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Breckinridge School of Nursing in 2012. Throughout my career, I have worked at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Ascension St. John Medical Center, Tulsa Nursing Center, and currently at Family and Children’s Services on an Assertive Community Treatment team.My husband, Fred, is a brilliant chef and pyrotechnician, and we’ve been married for over 12 years. Our daughter, Willow, is 10 years old and starting 6th grade at Owasso Public Schools in the fall.<h4>I believe my experience working within the community and hands-on experience with government services would make me an excellent advocate for the people of House District 9. </h4>

As a registered nurse and case manager, Andrea has spent more than 13 years caring for Oklahomans in hospitals, nursing homes, mental health services, and community-based care. She has seen firsthand how decisions made at the Capitol directly impact patients, healthcare workers, seniors, and families. Budget cuts and harmful policies do not exist on paper alone — they affect whether someone can see a doctor, afford medication, receive mental health treatment, or recover safely at home.Andrea will fight to lower prescription drug costs, reduce insurance premiums, and expand access to quality healthcare in rural and underserved communities where hospitals and providers are increasingly difficult to find. She believes Oklahoma must invest in preventative care, mental health services, and programs that help people receive treatment before small problems become medical emergencies.Every Oklahoman deserves the opportunity to live a healthy life, and Andrea is committed to fighting for a healthcare system that puts people before politics.

Too many hardworking Oklahomans are working full time yet still struggling to afford housing, put food on the table, or cover unexpected expenses. Families should not have to choose between paying bills, buying medicine, or feeding their children.Andrea supports raising the minimum wage through HB 832 because anyone working full-time should be able to support themselves and their family. Increasing wages helps strengthen local communities, supports small businesses, and gives families greater financial stability.Andrea also believes housing is a critical part of affordability. As housing costs continue to rise, more Oklahomans are facing housing insecurity and homelessness. She supports expanding shelters, low-barrier housing options, and community-based programs that help individuals and families get back on a stable footing. Everyone deserves a safe place to sleep and access to resources that help them succeed.Food insecurity is another growing challenge across Oklahoma, especially for seniors, children, and working families. Andrea opposes cuts or additional restrictions to SNAP benefits because these programs provide essential support to families facing difficult times. No child should go hungry because their family is struggling to make ends meet.Andrea is committed to fighting for practical solutions that lower costs, expand opportunity, and help Oklahoma families thrive.

For too long, Oklahoma schools have been underfunded while teachers are asked to do more with fewer resources. Andrea supports increased funding for public schools so classrooms have the tools, technology, and support students need to succeed. She also supports meaningful pay raises for teachers and school staff who work tirelessly to educate and support Oklahoma’s children. Retaining great teachers starts with treating them like the professionals they are.As a mother of a public school student, Andrea understands how important our schools are not only to children and families, but to the future of our communities and economy. Oklahoma’s ranking near the bottom in education is unacceptable, and our students, parents, and teachers deserve leaders who prioritize public education instead of undermining it.Andrea also knows that education begins long before kindergarten. Many families struggle to afford childcare, daycare, and early childhood education, creating financial stress for parents and limiting opportunities for children during critical developmental years. She supports expanding access to affordable daycare and preschool programs so working families can thrive and children can begin school prepared to learn and succeed.Strong public schools create stronger communities, a stronger workforce, and a stronger Oklahoma.
